PJFC Newsletter, Issue #5 - March 26, 2025

A Friday training night, without the training! Join us for a drink, a snag and a wander around the new facilities while reconnecting with our fabulous community!

BBQ & Bar
The BBQ will be dusted off, and the fancy new bar restocked and reopened as we welcome you all back to TP.

We also welcome our 2025 Parent Bar sponsors, with Asahi and Stomping Ground beers and Tahbilk wines to be enjoyed, along with our much-loved Peter Bouchier goodies on the BBQ.

Mouthguards
Sportsafe Australia is back on board to supply custom-made, professionally fitted mouthguards, available from 1–4 pm.

Pricing starts from $120, depending on colours and designs—perfect for kids with braces! Payment is required on the day, rebates are available, and no bookings are necessary.

Activities
Activities will be available for kids on the ground, but feel free to bring a footy for kids to have a kick. It’s all very casual!

Uniform and Boot Donation
We will have a Prahran Blue wheelie bin (brand new ;) available to deposit donations of old uniforms and boots. Please ensure they are clean and placed in a plastic bag, as our volunteers will be sorting these to recirculate.

 2024 Game Jumper Return

We are asking that all 2024 game jumpers be returned on March 30th if you have not done so already. Please return jumpers to the bar area and let them know your child's name, 2024 age group and team name.

2024 game jumpers are not able to be kept and reused in 2025 as we need to manage some jumper maintenance and rebadging before recirculation.

Invoices will be sent out to any unreturned jumpers as we will need to replace them to put back into circulation. If you need to return a jumper, but can not make March 30th, please contact Paddy Posset to arrange - paddy.posset@prahranjfc.com.au

High Fives for our Sponsors

We are proud of PJFC’s growing community of members and their families, but we could not support them without our partnership sponsors.

We are super excited to soon announce our brand new sponsor line up for the 2025 season. Many will be joining us on the 30th, so we look forward to introducing you all!

Buy a Fence Picket at Toorak Park

In order to mark the momentous milestone completion of the redevelopment of Toorak Park, the four resident Clubs who call Toorak Park home are offering the unique opportunity for our members and supporters to buy one of the pickets around the new Toorak Park fence and have a plaque with your name or your family etched in our history.

All proceeds go to the Clubs to help fund our share of the redevelopment.

We will be launching this fundraiser at our upcoming Welcome Back to Toorak Park on March 30, so please come along to ensure you don't miss out!

Season Dates Released

Time to get organised and mark your calendars! The SMJFL 2025 season dates are here—see the details below or download the PDF by clicking here.

Round 1 kicks off on April 27, with teams resuming training after the school holidays on Wednesday, April 23, and Friday, April 25 (ANZAC Day), depending on their allocated training schedules.

Teams, coaches, and training schedules will be announced on April 1.

Our club is unique in that most of our teams train on a single night. The exception is our older girls’ teams, who train on Wednesdays to accommodate GSV games on Friday nights. However, there will still be Friday skill sessions available so they don’t miss out on the club atmosphere!

This year, training returns to the Toorak Park Precinct, including Toorak Park and Orrong Romanis. Some age groups will rotate across ovals to ensure fair access to Toorak Park and ample training space. We can’t wait to have everyone back together as one club!

Pre-Season and School Holiday Training

There will be no pre-season training this week as we host grading games—Girls teams on Tuesday and Mixed/Boys teams on Sunday. Please see the schedule below.

With next week marking both the end of the school term and our first chance to train at Toorak Park, we will be holding school holiday training on Friday, 4 April, and Friday, 11 April. These sessions will be run by age group, similar to our Summer Development Program, providing training opportunities for those around at the end of the term and during the holidays.
